Kyphosis Case Reviews

  The surgical procedure is individualized for each patient. Here are examples of kyphosis patients treated by Dr. Pashman.
   
  Posterior Spinal Fusion
  1. A 13 year old female with Kyphosis. She had a 75° curvature, and was treated with a posterior spinal fusion T2-L2. Dr. Pashman obtained a 44% reduction in her curvature. Review her case.
 
2. A 19 year old female with a progressive 80° Schuermann's Kyphosis
curvature. She was treated with a posterior spinal fusion T2-L1. Review her case.
 
3. A 17 year old male with progressive Schuermann's Kyphosis. 75
° deformity treated with a posterior fusion from T3 to L1. Review his case.
 


4 . A 58 year old female with severe Scheurmann's Kyphosis treated with a posterior spinal fusion from T2-Pelvis. Review her case.

 
5. A 48 year old male with rigid Scheurmann’s Kyphosis treated with a Posterior Spinal Fusion from T2-L4. Review his case.
 
6. A 34 year old male from Arizona, diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis. He had a severe forward decompensation. The patient was treated with Pedicle Subtraction Osteotomy (PSO) and a Posterior Spinal Fusion from T10-L5. Review his case.
 
7. A 42 year old male, diagnosed with Congenital Kyphoscoliosis. Status post surgery with a Harrinton Rod in 1971. He had weakness and neurologicla compromise from decompensation. The patient was treated with a Posterior Spinal Fusion from T2-Pelvis. Review his case.

1. A 23 year old male with Kyphosis whose curve progressed rapidly. He lost approximately 1 1/2 inches in height over one year. Review his case.

 
2. A 15 year old male athlete with Kyphosis, whose curve progressed to 70
°. He was treated with a posterior spinal fusion. Review his case.
